Mrs Margaret Slater has kindly donated a trophy in memory of her husband Mick, to be awarded to the puppy winning most points in Minor Puppy and Puppy classes at Breed Club shows during the year. The competition is open to paid up members of MESS only. Points are calculated as follows:

Open shows, 1^st 3 pts, 2^nd 2 pts, 3^rd 1 pt. Ch shows: 1^st 5 pts, 2^nd 3 pts, 3^rd 1 pt.
BPIS (Open or Ch) gains an additional 2 points.

The 2007 MESS Pup of the Year is Jane Dennis and Joy Field's Mariglen Francesca Fenston, (pictured left) by Sh Ch Bournehouse Silver Dreamer out of Sh Ch Fenston Arabella at Mariglen.

The current joint leaders after MESS May Open show are Couldoran Summer Leaves at Sappersett and Beechanger Golden Spinner at Roftmar, but others are very close behind!
